Cork and Candles Comes to Warrington: Meet Linda Welles

Cork and Candles is coming to Warrington on October 1, right on Main Street at the Shops at Valley Square in the heart of Bucks County, and the person bringing it here is exactly the kind of person you hope opens a place like this. Linda Welles is a longtime member of this community, a teacher, and honestly one of the warmest and kindest people you will ever meet. From the first conversation, it was clear she understands what we mean when we say "Where Friends Gather."
Every location has a story behind it. Linda's is about timing, courage, and finally saying yes.
A teacher steps into something of her own
Linda has spent years pouring into other people. As a teacher, she has spent her career creating spaces where people feel welcome, encouraged, and capable of more than they realized. That instinct is the whole heart of a Cork and Candles evening, so watching her step behind the scent bar feels less like a career change and more like the same calling in a new room.
She had been thinking about opening a business of her own for a long time. Like a lot of us, she had good reasons to wait, and the timing never felt perfect. Then one evening we sat down and talked it all through, and she put it as plainly as anyone ever has. "If not now, when?" That was the moment. She was ready to dive in, and she has been all-in ever since.
She is not doing it entirely alone, either. Her husband, Doug, is one of her biggest supporters, cheering her on and lending a hand where he can while he keeps up with his own full-time career. It takes a lot of quiet support to help someone chase something big, and Linda has it.
I have taken a leap like Linda's myself, and I know the mix of nerves and excitement that comes with it. Some of the best things my family has ever built started with exactly that kind of "if not now, when" decision. Warrington is in wonderful hands.
Where friends gather, now in Bucks County
Our Warrington location brings the full Cork and Candles experience to Bucks County: the same beautifully designed scent bar, the same 60-plus fragrance library, and the same guided sessions our guests love at our other stores.
It is more than a candle-making studio. It is a place to celebrate a birthday or a bridal shower, plan a date night, gather the team for an outing, or simply spend real time with the people who matter most. Whether it is a girls' night out or a quiet evening of creativity, Warrington is about to be your local spot for something you will actually remember.
What to expect at your experience
If you have never joined us before, here is how a night works. Each experience runs about 90 minutes and is led by a trained chandler who walks you through every step, so no experience is necessary, only a willingness to have fun. You will explore our scent library of more than 60 premium fragrance oils, blend the scents that feel like you, and pour two candles of your own into your vessel.
We are proudly BYOB, so bring your favorite bottle of wine and settle in. Sessions are $62 per person, and you take your candles home the same night. They simply need a patient week or so to cure before that first burn, which is always worth the wait.
