Start your morning with mindfulness, scent, and slow movement.

Join Flow With Tiff and Cork & Candles for a grounding morning experience centered on rest and release.

Begin by exploring soothing seasonal scents and creating your own candle with intention. Then, move into a gentle yoga flow to ease tension, reconnect with your breath, and settle into stillness. The morning will close with journaling and light reflection using reflection cards, accompanied by breakfast bites and refreshments.

Please plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early to get settled. Mats and all materials will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring a favorite journal or blanket if you’d like.

Public parking is available close by at the Walnut 38 garage (3731 Walnut Street), and the Spruce 38 garage (38th and Spruce). Public transportation is available via SEPTA, bus, and trolley lines, the closest train station is 36th and Market Street and at 30th Street Station (30th and Market).

Dave & Kenny Straub

OWNERS

The University City Cork & Candles is our first franchise and our flagship location. A family-owned small business, Cork & Candles was born out of a passion for handcrafting quality products with a story three generations in the making. In the 1960s, Dave Straub grew up and learned the arts of painting, woodworking, and candle-making from his father, Ken. Ken passed away when Dave was 23, leaving a beautiful collection of his artworks, along with impactful lessons and memories that shaped the father Dave would become.

When Dave and his wife Sheelagh became parents, they named their son Kenny after Dave's late father. The father-son duo opened Cork & Candles with a dream of building an inviting space that would bring friends and communities together while spreading their love of handcrafting personal creations.

We believe everyone is creative and we are excited to help you unlock that creative energy as you handcraft your own custom candles!

Throughout my life, I've been a mad creator, weaving wonders with my hands. Whether it was drawing, sewing, sculpture, photography, wood-working or creating hand-drawn animations, my hands have eagerly embraced every opportunity to learn a new skill. The joy of getting my fingers involved in every step of the creative process remains my absolute favorite part of the journey.
